September 6th | Charlotte Literary Festival
The Charlotte Literary Festival is an annual event held in Charlotte, NC that focuses on both youth and adult literacy. The festival hosts a myriad of local, regional and national authors from various genres.   The 2008 Charlotte Literary Festival will take place September 6th in Uptown Charlotte, 11:00am -10:00pm at The Charlotte Convention Center! This year the festival will have 7 speakers, 6 New York best-selling authors, 2 bands, an Author's Lane with local and self-published authors over 40 vendors and of course the Kid's Corner which will include an arts and craft fair as well as storytellers and live entertainment. Your corporation/organization is cordially invited to participate in the 2008 Charlotte Literary Festival.

September 10th | Moms@Work Luncheon

September 19th | Puttin' Fore a Purpose, Angels of '97 Golf Tournament
Angels of '97 will host their annual Puttin' Fore a Purpose Golf Tournament, presented by McIntosh Law Firm, Friday, September 19th at 2pm at Birkdale Golf Course.  The tournament is a fundraiser, which helps provide scholarships for High School seniors and offers progams and support to bereaved families.  Get details and sign up.

October 4th | Susan G. Komen For The Cure Charlotte

The Mint Museum of Craft and Design Uptown is featuring the following exhibits.
Possibilities: Rising Stars of Contemporary Craft in North Carolina:  June 7, 2008-November 30, 2008.  Ornament as Art: Avant-Garde Jewelry from the Helen Williams Drutt Collection:  August 16, 2008-January 4, 2009.

June-August | Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden's Summer Festivities
